About the role:
As a Junior Automation & Control Engineer, you will support the development, testing, and commissioning of automation and control systems for our eSAIL technology.
This role is designed for engineers at the beginning of their professional journey who are eager to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary and highly technical environment. You will work closely with more experienced engineers, participating in software development, system integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities both in factory and onboard environments.
The position offers hands-on exposure to industrial automation, marine systems, and cutting-edge sustainable technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support development and testing of automation and control functionalities for eSAIL systems.
Assist in PLC and HMI programming activities.
Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation activities during FAT, HAT, and sea trials.
Support preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, electrical diagrams, and commissioning procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support system integration activities.
Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues during testing and operation.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Automation & Control department.
Required competencies:
Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
0–3 years of experience in automation, industrial control, or related technical environments (internships included).
Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
Familiarity with Siemens automation environments is highly valued.
Basic understanding of electrical diagrams and industrial communication systems.
Experience with EPLAN, WinCC, or industrial software tools is considered an advantage.
Programming knowledge in Python or similar languages is a plus.
Strong willingness to learn and develop in industrial and marine automation environments.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
Availability to travel occasionally.
